      • The author is a nurse on Southhampton Island, NWT, on the rim of the Arctic Circle, where the mail plane comes but once a month. Her husband is the teacher of the 257 natives, and they have a five-year-old daughter, Patricia Ann, who is just learning to read. This story is her favourite, for it is about her little Eskimo friends, who laugh about the neighbours to the south who sometimes get their meat out of a can. The book was written to give an authentic account of the Eskimos in the Hudson Bay region.
